I often read about bloggers who don't care about the SEO aspect of their blog . The reasons are various: those who have no interest in receiving visits, those who are satisfied with the ones they have, those who don't know where to put their hands for this SEO, those who think that it really is of no use. The problem, in my opinion, is that many are scared of the technical nature of SEO and think that it is a matter for nerds or web experts. The answer is yes and no. At a basic level, everyone can improve the SEO of their blog. Of course, if you want to start a travel blog and hope to be found soon by searching for the main keywords on Google, then best wishes. Perhaps not even the most famous SEOs can do it or, at most, they will make you spend a fortune. Which means improving the SEO of the blog In other posts I have written the meaning of this acronym and here I repeat it for convenience: Search Engine Optimization , therefore optimization for search engines . We need to optimize the blog for search engines.
Put like this, SEO seems incomprehensible to us. In reality, if we don't have a blog for work purposes, but we still want to improve its position in the Google results pages, there are few things we need to pay attention to. In short, optimizing a page for search engines simply means making sure that the engines read it well and understand the topic and its importance for Special Data users. Because Google is a machine and does not read like us, but needs guidance to understand human language. The alleged SEOs who ruined the web in the past years have instead misrepresented this concept and have written texts that are almost incomprehensible to humans, but according to them suitable for search engines. However, the web belongs to users, not Google, so texts must be written for users. The SEO aspect of the blog If we learn to take care of the SEO of our blog, the results will come.
They arrived to me and with several keywords my blog appears on the front page and for many also in the first half. I have a list of these words and I periodically check it to analyze the trend in the positions of those words: in some cases they have improved, in other cases some of my posts - such as the one on world building - have dropped in the results. This is all normal. I haven't talked much about world building on the blog, so it wasn't a surprise. Taking care of the SEO aspect of the blog means applying the principles of writing for the web. The title of the post On how to write the title I wrote 7 articles and published an ebook which collected the first 5 with the addition of some appendices. I'd say that's enough. But maybe not. I have always said that the title of the post is important because it makes the reader understand what that post is about, but in reality the title must also give information to the search engine.
